In terms of newish releases, I'm listening to Revolution Radio by Green Day and California by Blink 182. Both great albums.

I confess I don’t listen to much new stuff these days, but here’s a few (sugar) blasts from the past:

Dr. Phibes and the House of Wax Equations - “Whirlpool” and “Hypnotwister”
Loop - “Fade Out”
Bad Brains - “I Against I”
Tackhead - “Strange Things”

As an aside, the album cover art from Tackhead’s “Friendly as a Hand Grenade” turned up on the front page of the Daily Mirror recently, in relation to the U.S. election result: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ge ... ca-9231864

Last week we saw the Pixies at the Manchester Apollo. Supporting were a band called FEWS. They ended their set with a song called Ill. It has to count among the best things I've seen at a gig. 8 minutes of awesomeness.

The next night saw us at the Arena to see Placebo. I had forgotten how good Placebo are.

Finally for 2016, Ash at the O2 Ritz.

A reminder, if any were needed....

Karnataka - just getting into this prog rock band and will to get to their Wolverhampton gig in February if the weather's ok.

Got tickets for Roger Hodgeson (Supertramp) and Britifloyd this spring and Alice Cooper alongside the Tubes (which could be really interesting - put Quay Lewd in the guillotine {you tube it if you don't understand}) and The Mission (not a band I know) in November.

This time tomorrow I'll be in Reading awaiting The Tubes.

Shame they probably won't do this one as they don't have a female vocalist anymore.

Heard this on a night out in Cardiff recently.

Great to see(hear?) Sub Focus back after a hiatus.

:music:

Also, ended up in a bit of a YouTube thread recently whilst reading over some cases, I've forgotten how good these songs actually are

And, a long one, but the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack is all of the good. Particularly "Mesa" starting at 16.11. Absolutely nailed what the film means.
