Android 5 to 6

Android 5 to 6

Postby flashman8 on Fri 18 Aug 2017, 10:01 pm

Last time I connected my Sony phone to the supplied software, it informed me that Android version 6 is available for my phone.......

Is it worth updating?

Also, will it possibly cure , as I have been told, the overheating issues when downloading and updating Apps, and running games for a long period of time?

Thanks in advance everyone.........

No software in the world will cure "overheating", especially not in phones.

Playing games is heavy on CPU, GPU and RAM usage. The more heavily they're used, the hotter they get. If your phone gets so hot it's unusable or it turns off, your phone is either faulty or a terrible design.

As for moving from Lollipop (Android 5) to Marshmallow (6)? Well, 7 has been out for a good 12 months now, so although it may provide some improvements, be mindful it's already outdated.
