2018 FIFA World Cup

Postby CJS on Tue 12 Jun 2018, 2:14 pm

Who will it be? To be honest I can't see beyond Spain, Germany or Brazil. I've gone for Spain though - depth of talent and all that.

And yes, I have removed 2 teams, because I couldn't create a poll with all of them in. If you would have picked Serbia or Panama to win it, then by all means mention it below ;-)

England? Semi finals would be a huge success IMHO. Looking forward to the tournament though, should be good.

I've gone for Peru as that's who I have in the sweepstake at work and dammit, I'm staying positive.

I’m gonna stick my neck out here, and say that England might be in with a chance.

IF, and yes, it is a big IF, all the players turn up with their A game, then why can’t they go all the way.

I have a horrible feeling though that this World Cup will become more remembered for the crowd / hooligan troubles than for the football - I sincerely hope that I am wrong with that, and that it is remembered for an England win!!

I’ll go take my tablets and meds now!!!

Indeed. Whatever had happened regarding his move to Real Madrid, what a crazy time to sack your manager!

Not really he could've spent more time tapping up players for RM rather than the World Cup. It's typical RM style as much as they have a great team they think they're above everyone else and do as they please, so the Spanish FA have told them where to stick it.

Wow, some pretty unlikely results so far!

Got to love the fact that Iran are now in the driving seat to qualify out of a group with Spain and Cristiano Ronaldo in it, the champions are bottom of their group, Brazil didn't manage to beat Switzerland, the only half decent looking team so far are Russia and Lionel Messi turns out to be actually a bit rubbish.

So I'm going for a 4-0 win for England tomorrow, based on not much else going according to plan.

It's a funny old game. :win:
