Where and what is this?

Anybody able to help me with this

This was taken on a flight from Perranporth to Poham last week. I think it is probably Somerset about 2/3s of the way between Newquay and Popham via Exeter

Probably way off the mark but looks like an old duck decoy they were specially designed ponds used for attracting and trapping ducks, they would be attracted by the water and then hurded down to one end that was netted over trapping them.

If you put Ryewater Nursery, Sherborne in Google then click on the map you will see them on the right, its owned by Clive Farrell (one of the people behind The Butterfly Project, St. Albans). I did some work at The Butterfly Project plus a fellow worker did quite a bit of seeding down at the Sherborne site.
