Didcot gets a fair smattering of Steam Specials passing through.
Last Saturday 4-6-0 Castle Class Nunney Castle was on a run from Tilsley to Alton and return.
She was due to stop at Didcot on the way back, but was running late so went around The Loop line on her way home
The train was tailed by this Class 47 diesel,a classic in her own right nowadays
Comments welcome

Apparently, most preserved engines are painted in BR markings as that is how most people remember them. I do wish that some more were painted in the original liveries though. This same principle applies to model locomotives - it is the belief the manufactuers will sell more product as there are more people still alive that remember them post-nationalisation!!
Its all about marketing!!
