Panoramics

Post by expat1 »

Just recently bought a copy of Arcsoft's Panoramic maker.

I think the results are pretty good. The software seems to do a good job of seemlessly matching individual pictures together even if the exposure isn't spot on. I've tried both horozontal and vertical formats and both look okay to me.

1st - Myrtle Falls up on Mount Rainier.

2nd - Lake Reflection on a very calm day - I really liked the colours in the water on this one.

3rd - Stonehenge - Washington - I kid you not!!!!!

Finally a bit of fun - "Her indoors" taking a picture of herself pratting about.

Hope 'er indoors is well and you're not to much under her thumb these days....

Glad you liked them. Sadly our weather forcast predicts that the first two subjests will be covered with snow after tomorrow. No more green till June 2009. Should be good for winter pictures though :yahoo:  :yahoo:

Good panos! I bought Arcsoft over a year ago because Photoshop CS2 wouldn't stitch photos properly, and so far it's worked 98% of the time with minimum fuss, not even blinking at different exposures or overly misaligned photos. CS3 has a greatly improved panorama stitcher, but I've still come across 1 or 2 sets where it left a visible seam. The upside is that it's compatible with Lightroom, so it can process RAW files with just a couple clicks.
