My first time at this event this year and although the Friday I went was mainly dull and rainy, I enjoyed it. The theme of '6 decades of Lotus cars' was interesting even for non-petrol-heads like myself. I did come away a tad disappointed that most of the hillclimb drivers seemed to treat it as a day off and there was no real competitive edge to it but maybe I was expecting too much from some valuable hardware especially on a damp surface. On the other hand, those on the rally course at the top did seem to be pushing it and I ended up enjoying the rallying more than the hillclimb much to my surprise.
Since I know little or nothing about cars I've labelled each photo with some blurb from the programme for my own use and have left it on for those in the same position as me. So some hillclimb one first and then some rally stage ones.....
