A very enjoyable few hours at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation at Smarden. Not open on a daily basis for general visitors, but they do have "experience days" and two or three open days a year.

It's always a P in the A getting shots between the unhelpful wire fences at those places - but you've just about pulled it off. Some stunning Cats.

Dartmoor Zoo near Plymouth is quite good for those sort of shots, as the Cheetah and Tiger enclosures in particular have moats and high walls rather than fences - so you can get a really good shot, with no obstructions in the way. This is also the Zoo that the recent film 'We Bought A Zoo' is based on.

Thanks John,Snood,I must admit I did struggle to lose the fence in a lot of the pictures. The gap between the barrier and enclosure was quite significant,a lot more than I have found at other places. The only alternative is to go on one of the photographic days, where you are given access inside the barriers,i'll have to start saving my pennies for that one.

Nice Colin
I did a photography day there and you get to go right up to the fence so the wires become less of a problem

Fantastic set of pics, went there on a special visit 2 years ago and fed a couple of the cats, what a place!
DSLR less for the moment...
