Super shots! Love the one with the light coming through the tail.
Use of "Bearded Reedling" raised a smile as there was a brief attempt by the learned to displace the traditional "Bearded Tit" (we all know they aren't actually tits) in the 80s. Then I wondered what the current official name is and checked the BOU List. Thank heavens, it is still Bearded Tit, though Bearded Reedling is listed as an alternative.
Always great to see, whatever they are called.
Col: have you checked the reedbeds around the raptor watchpoint out on the Harty Ferry road? There are usually Beardies in there, in winter at least.

Thanks all. John thought they had changed the name as i seem to be coming across it more than the old one, still title Bearded Tit would have drawn in alot of people i suppose wondering what a Tit with a Beard looks like.
