Classic Car Show - Shuttleworth April 2017

Post by Airwolfhound »

Spent a good few hours yesterday in the pleasant Spring weather at Shuttleworth's Classic Car Show. It was a good show with plenty of cars on show, and various crafty stalls and an autojumble. I'm more of an American car fan and so was good to be mingling among the Mustangs and Corvettes. Various other makes were well catered for including Aston Martin, BMW, Land Rover and various others. A couple of the based aircraft took off for various circuits away from the main crowd but close enough to watch them do some nice formations as well.

Here's a few pics of what was around :-

That Gran Torino was at the NEC two weeks ago with David Soul, Paul Michael Glaser and Antonio Fargas sitting on the bonnet!

Yes, their signatures were on the boot of the car. This car was actually used in the movie from a few years ago with Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller.

That's all I got of her. Looked like she had Hasselhoff's signature scrawled all over the dashboard, didn't get any of the interior shots though sorry (my one drawback with the 50-500mm).

Cheers :-)

Thank you, it looks amazing - the car from Season 3 I think. I've seen a couple at North Weald before, one at a show and another that was doing driving experience days for the last two summers, but the latter was in need of some work (the red light didn't function etc) and some of the details were wrong, including the wrong alloys. This one looks to be very well cared for and nicely converted.
