I love the first one - the gloomy sky really works against the largely white machine.

Is that one of the new ones?

Cool, did not know there was passenger Service with H/C. Next time I am over I might treat myself to a trip on those!
Cheers

The service has been running for many years. I can remember even when I was a child going to Southsea with my parents and seeing the hovercraft come across from the IoW and dropping off its passengers right beside that beach. In those days i seem to remember that the hovercraft were painted mainly red.

My wife and I went on one last October while on the IOW for a holiday - took a day trip to Portsmouth. We first went on a hovercraft in I think 1965 or 1966 which was operated as a pleasure craft from Hastings beach giving trips round the bay, we were there on a day trip.
