Very nice Andy, all of them, I've seen all the birds in the UK, so I'm going to be super jealous of the Walrus and my favourite animal the Polar Bear, would love to see one in the wild.

Appetite whetted further... Like Caper I've had all the birds down here but the mammals......!

I suspect my own Svalbard visit is still a few years away but it is right at the top of the big foreign trip list. That Polar Bear is really special. Also really nice to see a Glaucous Gull in proper habitat and light instead of grotting round some East Coast fish quay.

Very nice set.

Ah these are splendid. Thanks for sharing them. Love the bird shots - especially the Puffins, they're such charismatic little things - and the Polar Bear of course. What an experience!

Thank you for your kind comments.

Here are a few more...
Bearded Seal
Image
Brunnich's Guillemot (I think) - or Thick-billed Murre if you prefer
Image
Another irresistable Puffin!
Image
Another Walrus shot
Image
We were very close to Reindeer
Image
Another shot of the majestic Polar Bear  . We watched this from the ship for some 4-5 hours even though it did get a bit chilly!

It was a great trip, not just for the wildlife but the scenery and the whole experience.

I can confirm your Brunnich's, (and none of your Americanisms thank you!) - more cracking wildlife pics. The Beardie stands out in the second set!

Those are all really cracking images Andy, and like Paul and John I'm fortunately in the position to have seen all the birds in the UK and also the Bearded Seal.

Brings back good memories of the Inverness Ivory Gull & Portland Brunnich's although the least said about Portland at the moment he better! :hide:
