Rusting relics and some not so much

Post by Wes_Howes »

Driving along Route 66 takes you to some wonderful but sadly forgotten destinations and you don't have to look to hard to see classic cars in varying states of decay. There are a few museums along the way, where the lucky ones are restored and housed but mostly, the classics are left to the elements.

1) First though, an action shot taken in Chicago

2) Henry's Rabbit Ranch, Staunton, IL

Thanks Cole, it was. I'll put together a post of other places we visited soon but I just wanted to concentrate on the variety of automotive hardware as I think it's quite a big part of Route 66
