Knowing that there are some keen and knowing birders on here, could I ask what this is? I spotted it whilst at Bedfont Football club yesterday as I was photographing the Heathrow arrivals. I think it may be a Stonechat, but ornithology is not my specialist area.

Male coming into breeding plumage. Looks like Bedfont FC need to improve their turf a bit.

Yes, see them down here in The New Forest very often, usually on top of the gorse.

Great image. nice to see the catchlight in the eye something that isn't as easy to get as people think.
