Back in April I was in the Trier area for the 2018 Dampfspektakel (a more modern development of the Plamdampf) where a number of special trains are turned over to steam (& historic diesel & electric) locomotives for a 4 day period. With the ability to window hang (sadly gone in this H&S country) I spent much of my time traveling but here are a few shots from lineside

Stayed in Trier in September 1992...….. whilst on a inter rail holiday! Unfortunately we didn't travel on anything like these. Nice shots but they'll never fly!

Just found this thread. Nice shots. Linesided most of the time but went to Saarbrücken and back on the "Pacific Day." Lots of window hanging and with use of local trains managed to get lineside shots of all three Pacifics plus haulage by them too.
