Just for the record, it's phpBB3 with subsilver2 (not prosilver) that has some tweaks to the colours

All credit though to the UKAR guys for moving to a new software and making such major changes to it! (Not sure whether that makes it brave or mad, but either way have a  from me!)

Steve, what major changes? Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it's pretty much a straight out of the box phpBB forum installation with a custom banner and replacement smilies (I did a similar installation for the OW forum a few months ago and it all looks very familiar). I believe that the effort that's been mentioned went into the reviews website rather than the forum.

I must admit that I had assumed the installed Style had been substantially customised but I could well be wrong. You may well be right!

I suppose it's an obvious question but why the insistance on PHPBB?
YaBB is the dogs left testicle and is also FREE and standards compliant and is also very heavily supported

As is phpBB ...

The issue re images would appear to be related to the Style in use, not the core phpBB code.

Ok let me put it another way, it works right out of the box and looks better than PHPBB

Because we tested it alongside other software, we liked it, it does what we want and we can template it as we want.

... or another way, so does phpBB ... in fact, it take no more than 15 minutes to upload and install a functional phpBB3 board ... erm straight out of the box so to speak ...

As for looks, that is a function of the Style chosen and not the fact someone chooses to use phpBB ... :handbag:

Next ....

That was all I was asking

I much prefer YaBB because of its looks and the way it's been built. A personal choice
