Well, I've taken the plunge and got one, coupled with the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6. The Tamron 150-600 went in PX.
Much much ouchio cashio, but it should last me a long time (I hope)

Its a great combo - had them since last year, although the images are only as good as the person with their finger on the trigger

Just waiting for some decent weather now. Was hoping to go to the Old Sarum fly-in last Sunday, but it was hopeless.

Used mine for the first time on Saturday at Feltham Park. Boy, what a camera! However, there was a quite aggressive person there that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. He kept asking me 'why are you taking photos of aircraft, they are only aircraft!'.
