cracked LCD Monitor on Panasonic

QQ please - I have cracked my LCD monitor on my Panasonic TZ60 and it only shows a quarter of the screen. Has anyone investigated the cost of a similar repair or is it a throw away job. Of course I will ring the camera shop tomorrow but just wondered if anyone has experience.

don't talk to a shop, go straight to DKAVS who are Panasonics support partner in the UK. They won't rip you off but it may still be uneconomical. They are friendly and will give you good advice. http://www.dkavs.co.uk/

Doing a quick google, the replacement screen would appear to be around the £60 mark ( Fleabay doesn't appear to be any cheaper than normal on-line retailers )
If the TZ60 is anything like other compacts - including the old SZ-7 I have - it's pretty easy to remove the back to replace the screen....half a dozen screws at most ( there's probably even a youtube video available ) so in theory about 15-20 minutes at most to replace it.
How much a shop would charge for the service, though, is another matter.

Don't know how much it differs from the TZ60, but here's a youtube vid for the TZ65 :
