Just an idea for something that would be good for a podcast in the near future if it is possible. Last year in the weeks after RIAT there was a Q&A session with someone from Douglas Bader House in which a number of criticisms of the 2011 show were brought up and responded to. I think in light of the fact that a lot of those concerns seem to have been addressed this year and seeing as the feedback has been almost entirely positive, it would be good to have another Q&A session to find out what feedback they took on board and what they have done differently this year that has made such a noticeable improvement.

Sorry if this has already been suggested elsewhere, for all I know it may already be in the pipeline

New page layout coming together. Now has iTunes and RSS subscription links, and some of those silly like buttons for faceache and twitter.

OK - new page is up on the website: http://www.airshows.co.uk/podcast/

You can now subscribe directly via iTunes or RSS, there are facebook and twitter buttons and I've installed a new audio player for those listening in the browser.

The winner of the PlanesTV DVD from Episode 3 has been drawn from the hat too; congratulations to Andrew Morley.

I can't download episode 4 from iTunes. 1 to 3 no problem but 4 just won't play...literally!

Any ideas?

Not sure - all the links are correct, and I've just tried it in iTunes myself and had no problems either streaming or downloading it.

Been far too busy with "proper" work as of late. Can't put a date on the next episode yet. Some material is recorded, but not enough for a full episode yet.

Are the RIAT review audio-boos still being used in the episode Dan?

Only had one sent in, sadly Jamie, so unless we get more audioboos, the answer's no!

Just tweeted an update today. The gist of it is that Episode 5 is in the pipeline - there's no release date yet.

I'm looking to push the listener contribution angle - the listenership is now well into the thousands, and we'd love to get as many of you on air as possible - to do this, I'll be using the audioboo app, which allows you to record using a smartphone, small snippets of audio - and on the iPhone 4 the audio quality is excellent. Simply download the app, and record (giving your name and where you're from first - eg, "Hello, this is John from London") a 30 second - 1 minute review of any airshow or aviation event you've been to. We can't promise to use them all, but we'll do our best to use as many as possible.

Can anybody advise if they are still having issues with the podcasts in iTunes - not heard anything since they updated everything for iOS6?

Not yet. DanO has the prizes and he'll be posting them out, but he's half way around the world with work at the moment, so I'll wait until he's back home before I draw the names.
