FSX add ons

Post by Vodka »

with a little more free time around the corner over the winter months aiming to spend some time getting a bit deeper into FSX

So lookig for some direction on some ad ons that can be recomended.

so far I have FSX,
VFR scenery south/se
Alphasim hunter
just flight 146 / Avro
Just flights f5 freedom fighter
just flight tiger moth
Flight1 P51
Traffic X ( just installed last week, seems very good)

having a look at EZdoc to instal as its a freeebie

Wouldnt mind a decent Gatwick / Heathrow airport for some airline activity

Also looking at the ultimate terrain add on for euproe usa etc? any good, plus envoriment X, worth the purchase ?

have a pretty tasty rig so wont have many issues running high end gfx use software.

I'll probably add a biz jet to the library, a decent spitfire, perhaps an airbus / 767 airline for some longhaul. A decent 707 would be quite retro fun too?

So in general looking for some hints tips whats out there as it does seem a bit fragmented with various websites/ downlaods etc.

ive downloaded some of the UKmil freeware but having some issues getting them to instal correctly. will get hthere though.

I bought the microsoft/ FS x guide for dummies and will be slowly making my way through this as it does seem to be the bible for learning your way round fsx flying and the software

So generally any advice for the above or more 'muchios appreciated

the Ukmil stuff should be simple to install, just remember about the shared files for the nimrod and tornado, and that they will appear under the manufacturer 'UKMIL'

if your after a good spitfire, look at realair's spits or a2a's spitfire mk1/2 with accusim, captainsim's 707 is pretty good

I am a big fan of PMDG aircraft. If you want in-depth simulations of Boeing's 737 and 777 aircraft I don't think you could find better.

The 777 has just been released after what seems like eons and it is fantastic.

If you want any other info don't hesitate to PM me.
