Post by fiesty fox »

Hi
Have just tried to install MS 9 on to my windows 10 pc, it installs ok but will not start, any advice please or is there a good sim out there to purchase that works out of the box with windows 10.

FSX Steam Edition if you don't want anything too complicated. It's about a tenner at the moment too.

Pretty much any modern flightsim will work on Windows 10; DCS: World, P3D, X-Plane 10/11, and even FSX and BMS (if you can call those modern).

I would recommend you take a look at Aerofly FS2. Don't be put off by the fact that there are Android and IOS versions as there is also a Windows version available on Steam. This is the real 64 bit deal and is smooth as silk and it also supports VR including Rift etc. It is however still in development as an Early Access product and does not have the full set of features that you might expect with FSX such as multiplayer AI traffic etc, although all this is planned. It is also attracting the attention of 3rd party developers such as Orbx.
