1/72 Harrier Canopy - can I buy one?

Post by strangelookingalien »

Hello,

Just opened a supercheap Harrier Gr-1 Model I bought at the Duxford Autumn airshow, only to find that there is no canopy. Is this a part I can buy separately?

Contact the manufacturer, they generally supply spares

You can get Vac formed canopies for certain kits as well. What make of kit and version of the Harrier is it and i'll have a look for you.

Its a really, really old Airfix kit (mid - late 70s I think) so I guess I will have to make do with something that might not be a perfect fit.

I will get in touch with Airfix anyway, perhaps a GR-3 canopy will suffice.

Thanks

In case you don't already know, the GR3 kit was modified from the GR1, so they are essentially the same- just the laser nose on the later kit.
A GR3 canopy will fit!

hope that helps

edit: forgot to say- as far as i am aware there is no vacform available. Aeroclub don't do one.

Na, had a good look through the usual suspects last night and can't find anyone that makes them either. Best bet is to get one of the other guys to ask on Britmodeller or contact Airfix but I doubt they will have them either.

Not thinking straight, I can ask on Britmodeller(forgot I joined) and Airfix might have the GR3 canopy. It's still early and am chocked with the cold.
