If you could get a 'satin' varnish on it, it would tone down the gloss, but you would have to seal your decals first.

If i use a satin varnish can you suggest something to seal the decals. I have just managed to get hold of a bottle of Johnson's Klear could i use it to seal the decals and then use a satin varnish ?????
