Hobbycraft have had the 1/24th scale Airfix Hurricane for sale at £30 and although they're not doing a "Black Friday" there's an additional 20% off until Sunday so not a bad buy for what is considered the best kit they produced in this scale in the mid 70's?

I really dont know why i bought a Merlin, Javelin, Warrior and Land Rovers when they aint my scale, i have too big a stash and i really dont have the time at the minute to get back to the table! However, the bathroom project is nearly done so i may see the table again soon!

I got the Op Herrick Merlin, 2 x Coyotoes and 12 paints from Airfix.com and a Forward Assault Group, 4 x Jackals, Quads and vehicle crew from Amazon. Lucky I remembered to get some paints from Airfix.com since I've got loads of No. 33 and a few No. 53 left over from previous kits but no No.237 Desert.

I really was not going to bother but, like last year some of the prices are silly. I have 1/72 Halifax, 1/72 FW190, 1/72 fouga Magister, 1/72 Gnat plus some paint etc for £30, just don't tell the Mrs! Bit miffed the (new in box) harrier GR1 that I picked up in the charity shop for £5 on Wednesday is now £4.99!!

Wow! the Merlin down to £19.99 now that is a deal.. hmmm already have one in my stash to change into a Cormorant... the Mrs. may kill me but....... it is too much a good deal to miss.

My Merlin arrived this afternoon along with half a packing box of small foam pieces but I need to order some more paint for it, according to my Airfix account the order is still being processed and hasn't been dispatched yet.

I picked up another Spitfire V and an HP O/400. I got a 1/24 Hurricane last year at Hobbycraft for £20 and the stash is already too big......
