removing Halfords spray paint

Post by farnboroughrob »

Hi anybody know how to strip off Halfords spray paint? I have tried both Fairy Power spray and ultimate airbrush cleaner so its not acryllic and mr Muscle so its not enamel, any ideas?

Rob,
I thought the Halfords stuff is Acrylic and should tell you on the tin somewhere??

Other than that and its not something ive done myself, Mr Muscle over cleaner is a weapon of choice a mate has used in the past. I believe he puts the kit in a bag, sprays on the chemical, seals the bag and goes back the day after.
All the very best,
Geoff.

To answer my own question Fairy power spay works but you need to leave it immersed for a few days. With normal acryllic it is amost instant, not this!

The only thing that I found that works (being in your shoes before) is modelstrip paint remover. It is about £4.99 and works very well!
