Film star Stampe - SE.5a conversion

Post by dazdaman »

Just for fun, I modified an Azur 1/72 Stampe SV.4c model into an SE.5a lookalike, as used in the film Aces High.

Hope you like:

I know the roundels aren't 100% correct, but they were the only ones that I had that could fit the wings!

Fun build, though, and a great addition to my movie model collection.

Excellent! I can just see 'Crofty' wobbling around the sky. I'd be interested to see the rest of your movie collection.

Cheers! I've just realised I haven't put a serial number on the rudder for the SE.5a - I was thinking of doing Croft's aircraft, as it happens!

I've got a fair few movie models, so I'll maybe do a separate thread for them.

Off the top of my head, I have models of aircraft from:

Battle of Britain
Reach for the Sky
Dark Blue World
Dunkirk (even though it's not out yet!)
Malta Story
Der Stern Von Afrika
Von Richthofen and Brown
Fighter Squadron

And there's still more to do, including a Top Gun F-14....!
