Italeri 1/48 Mirage F-1C

Post by DerekF »

Courtesy of PaulN, my latest effort. The Mirage F-1, was one of the prettiest post war fighters so I thought I'd finish it without stores to mess up these elegant lines. A pretty good kit for its age, I put in a Neomega cockpit which fitted well. Finished with a brush in Revell Silver on the undersides and RAF PRU blue on the top, a pretty good match for the French upper surface scheme. The model is in the markings of aircraft 231 "12-YH" of E.C. 1/12 in the early 1980s.

Another fantastic model Derek  How do you paint them so well with a brush? All I get are streaks

Thanks folks.

Brush painting? A decent set of nice and soft brushes, paint at the right consistency, try and have the brush strokes in the same direction, oh and a few years of practise.

Not much can beat a Mirage F-1! Those lines just look so good! Nice build and if you ever get the chance.. try our Kitty Hawks F-1. It is well worth the price.
