1/72 F-35 kit question.......

Post by Unknown74 »

I was just wondering wether any of the current F-35 model kits available are like the sort of F-35s which are going to be in service with the RAF and Royal Navy? Just I have sort of promised myself to make an RAF F-35 at some point? Also my scale is 1/72............

The only 1/72 kit I am aware of for the F-35B is the Fujimi kit.

The downside being this kit is of a development aircraft with a pitot probe, front line examples don’t have this. The kit also doesn’t come with British markings.

Hannants do a decal sheet which includes British markings and plenty of Eduard add on sets for the Fujimi model so I am sure you could find the bits to convert it.

In 1/48 the Kitty Hawk kit is supposed to be excellent but again I’m not sure if it comes with British decals.
