Headcorn in the sun 14-9-08

Post by Vixen1 »

A visit to Headcorn to fly in 'Gadget' (G-ADGT) found a small aerobatic competition in progress. Here are just a few from the compact.
What a lovely old Spanish lady she is

The purpose of my visit - leased by the Tiger Club at the moment, showing her serial from her days when impressed into the Elementary Flying School in 1940.

Thanks to me brother-in law for taking me up again.

Misc including some of the competitors.
ACDC looks wonderful following her restoration

SV4 Stampe

Midget Mustang - did lovely run and break - a pocket rocket.

YAK 55 G-OHNO - first 55 I've seen

Very nice indeed. Interested to see that particular -55 is taking part in competitions - lovely example!

Olympic-painted Jungmann is a smasher as well.

Thanks for posting.

Nice shots Tony. I recognise Gadget, reckon she's been into Sywell before.

Nice pictures.
I was also there, as you can see.
Headcorn is always very interesting at the weekends, with lots going on.
There is an interesting feature on Headcorn in the October issue of Pilot which I did the pics for, if anyone is interested.

Great shots. It's a lovely airfield, isn't it? I'm often up there when it's a nice Sunday and there's no airshow on as it's my local!
