Norway to South Africa via Rochester DISASTER news update

A very special visitor at Rochester today,27th April.This colourful Robinson R44,with Charles McCann,Charles Stewart and Brian Johnston onboard,called in at Rochester prior to crossing the Channel,en route to Norway.This was the first day of their 3 Capes Helichallenge.

Excellent set of pictures, capturing an interesting event. The Robinson crew are certainly to be admired, this is not an undertaking for the faint hearted.

Sad news from Kenya,The 3 Capes Helichallenge ended in disaster on the 5th August 2012.R44 G-CMCC was totally burnt out in the incident but thankfully the crew of two managed to get out in one piece.It appears from the website the team aren't going to let this "setback" stop their adventure !
