EI-ICG goes live

The Irish Coast Guard's new Sikorsky S-92 EI-ICG went fully operational yesterday and made its first rescue mission, bringing a casualty into Galway Hospital yesterday as well.

Very well caught and i hope the casualty is ok! Will these be replacing all the S-61Ns and how soon?

Yep, these will be replacing the S-61N's eventually. This one is the Shannon based helo and the next station to get one I believe is Waterford (Rescue 117), but not for about another 12 months yet. The other 2 stations, Dublin and Sligo could be waiting a while. Unfortunately, the casualty in this case isn't too good, apparently, serious head injuries.
