Van Nuys

Post by Indiaecho2 »

Hi,

During my trip to the US - see the photos in the airliner section - I got to spend a few hours at Van Nuys airport. Here are some photos.

The airport bills itself as the busiest airport in the world, and it was rare for something not be be moving:-

There are many interesting aircraft to be seen, including this Grob Egret:-

The Cirrus VK-30 was the forerunner to the Cirrus range of aircraft that are now so popular:-

The lcoal flying schools were busy, and operated a range of aircraft including DA40 N308EF:-

The LA Fire Department have a number of helicopters at the airport, such as N412HA:-

A couple of CL-215s were also around:-

A good few helicopters at Van Nuys are used for filming:-

While others were operated in an ambulance role:-

Thanks - the traffic at Van Nuys is so varied you could do a pair landing with another Cessna today, a Global Express tomorrow and maybe a 727 later in the week....
