A few days ago I went over to my first ever Popham Airfield event, which I thought was a great day out if you love aviation and bikes. Due to it being the Motorcycle Mega Meet, there was a good 100ish stalls for jumble sales selling bikes, bike parts, patches, helmets and so on! £6 to get in I thought was quite reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, looking around the stalls in the morning, eventually after speaking to a few people I headed up to the clubroom patio area to watch some aircraft movements, which some were very interesting! The two Yak-52's made many landings and take offs. Later in the day I had the job to go and rescue a glider which couldn't make it back to Lasham, meaning I had to drive a golf buggy behind the Land Rover towing it to the runway to wait for the tug to come over from Lasham. This was quite enjoyable but freezing in the wind! Anyway on with the photos, some of which I am quite proud of! As many may know the light is quite difficult at Popham until later in the day when it gets a bit better. Lovely seeing the An-2 again, been a while since I last saw her. She is airworthy, but due to lack of funds, they can't get her up, and needs all the help the public can give! They hope to get HA-MKF up flying next year, so if you want to see her airborne once again, please donate at http://www.an2club.info/Membership.htm. For updates and more follow their twitter page @An2Club come and visit a Popham Fly-In and she will have a donation bucket taking £1 and above!

Lovely set and second the vote on the 1st picky...
Don't say something crass, to hide your envy. Just give credit, when its applicable...

The first is excellent and I like the low-angle Pitts, too - Popham's a great place at which to shoot and these pics show that pretty well.

Thank you very much for all your comments!
Thanks, I keep using my tilt screen to get low-angle photographs, I photograph one standing and and one down low to see which looks best! Popham is a great place for photographs and a great place in general, whether spotting, photographing, flying or popping by on a bike for a quick tea break!
