Lee on Solent Airfield February 2015 27th Update!!

Hey,

New month new topic. Was a really lovely day today, it even felt warm down the beach with the sun out. Busy day at the airfield with a lot of locals flying and a couple of visitors.

8th February....

As I got this many times before I thought I would go crazy and try a very low shutter of 1/30 handheld at 800mm.

A really nice opening couple of shots, :smile:

what a combination, and no signs of shake on them. This has forced my hand to try the same thing with a much smaller lens,
I'll put them up, if I manage to get to the local this week. Well done FJB on another super set...

Thanks for the comments. Was pretty happy with the results of the 1/30 shutter, not sure I want to try it with something new coming into Lee though :lol:

Just one today, went over my flat so rushed outside base to get a shot. Cloudy all day so not the best picture.

Few more over the last couple of days.

Really is dull out there. But I wanted to pop out to get G-HACE, new resident at Lee. But end up getting a Merlin as well and saw 4 Wildcats over the Solent.

.The Islander makes for a good shot and is a good choice in the SAR role ,as it can loiter around well, when searching.. :smile:
