GA at Coventry. New lens test.

Post by CameronSys »

Hello,

After receiving my Tamron 150-600mm VC lens today, I was eager to get out and test the lens on my DSLR body, the Nikon D3200. Living within a 2 minute walk of Coventry airport, I opted to test the lens out on some GA that was flying (knowing that nothing large was due at the time). I caught 2 PA-28s and an R-44.

I am very impressed with the lens and it performed superbly. Bearing in mind that all shots except the command PA-28 were shot wide open in terms of aperture, and the command PA-28 was a 100% crop, I am very pleased with my first results with the lens.

Thanks for looking!

How are your arms feeling?

Dug mine out, after its winter hibernation, to use at Duxford tomorrow. Forgotten how heavy it was.

Hurting a bit - but I should get used to it. There's a low fence at CVT to rest it on anyway!
