It was a choice of going here or to another event at Henstridge. I chose Popham airfield because, no surprises, it was another Sunday which coincided with the most breezy day over the last 12 days but at least the wind direction was down the runway and not to one side. With Jodells being a little heavier than the stuff going in to Henstridge, I reasoned my chances would be better at Popham.

It was a slow start. Not much came in until after noon and the breeze did keep numbers of visiting aircraft down.

A treat was recent arrival from the USA, a Stinson Gullwing reg BN50238.

Good stuff. I watched some of the goings-on from the Little Chef over the road - the Stinson sounded glorious when departing!
