Redhill Fly-In 30-07-2016

Post by SEMAE »

This was the fly- in of Beagles, Austers and Miles aircraft.

I think it may have been my first time at this airfield. If I had been before it was so long ago and during my pre photography days that I have forgotten though I did have feelings of deja vu.

A pleasant day and very friendly staff.

The huge breakfast at the restaurant was more than I could at and it took me almost an hour to eat it all.

The only downside was that the landings and take offs were quite far away but not a problem to crop the photos a bit.

There was a £5.00 charge to the the viewing areas which were the best spots of the day and well worth it with the aircraft taxiing past you.

There were also fully marshalled live side walks to photograph statics.

Hope to go the next time whenever that is.

Thanks for looking

Martin Eames

What a great event, and some wonderful classics. I like the themes. Always nice to see a Messenger, and the Vega Gull as well.
