Coastguard 999 at Arbroath

Post by Calum »

Today saw Coastguard 999 from Prestwick visit Arbroath to exercise with the local Lifeboats from Arbroath, Montrose and Broughty Ferry. Sadly the sea haar began to descend just as things kicked off, this couples with shooting into the sun made things a bit tricky. Nevertheless here are my efforts from the day.

Lastly, here are two of the boats that the helicopter was working with. The Mersey is from Arbroath and the Trent is the Broughty Ferry boat.

Thanks. Off the top of my head it's something like 20 and two stretchers. Prestwick is changing to the 189 in April which obviously will carry much less.

A nice set of photos.

Maybe one day I'll get some decent pictures of the CG helicopters, that would have been worth the trip for me.

Thanks everyone. Wallace. Yes they're hard beasts to track down as they are so busy.
