We had 396 movements at North Weald over last weekend. More than half were training flights.

Some gyrocopters have moved in from Damyns Hall after losing their hangar to the Tiger Club

A notable visitor was the PA16 Clipper, G-BSWF.

An interesting circuit, when the Vampire was also out and about!

Nice stuff Trev - agree with the poster above, the Vampire on finals is very nice.

Hopefully the Gnats, Skyraider, Sea Fire, Sea Fury and a few other bits might emerge soon?

Great set of pictures. I haven't been to North Weald for a few years, can I ask what access is like?

There are a couple of cafés where you can watch the aircraft taxying. Depending on what is going on there may be access to the safety fence on the eastern side of the runway. That is popular on a Saturday when the market is on. If I am on watch, and depending how busy it is, I may be able to facilitate access to areas not open to the public. Ask if Trevor is on when you come in the main gate.

Happily scrolling down until you presented the Vampire.
Beautiful captures (and, as previously stated, the approach shot is a stunner).
