Headcorn 7th July 2017

Made the trip to Headcorn (Friday 7th) hoping to see the Me 109 from Hangar 10,Germany,unfortunately it didn;t venture out of the hangar

Excellent set, Colin. Particularly like the Dove / Spitfire vic. Also, nice shot of the Buchon (or is it a Bf 109G, now with its DB605?).

Of course, if I'd taken the trouble to look at your picture properly, I would have seen the black rocker box covers of a standard configuration V-inline, and it would have been obvious it was a a Merlin, whereas the DB605 had an inverted V-inline. The level of the exhausts is a dead giveaway. Oh well, back to elementary spotting school.
