Scone, a couple of choppers

Post by wallace »

A trip to Scone on Friday morning in good time for my flying lesson, the day started with the departure of the regular Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance helicopter to Gloucester for maintenance and some photos of the relief helicopter, ending with a photo of a wrecked Jabiru on its way south for repair... and ultimately my first solo flight in a flexwing.

Caught the two helicopters in reflection

The SCAA EC135 departing. Thanks to "friends in high places" for the vantage point and to a polarising filter for shooting through the glass

Looks like this baby has had a hard landing.

I also caught the ROMA formation going overhead; three KC-10s and six F-22 on their way stateside. I'll post that piccie in the Military section.
