Sorry - The "W" Thread

Postby Unknown74 on Mon 23 Aug 2010, 10:58 am

Well with only a few weeks to go now before Leuchars I just thought I would say that I have no idea what types of Aircraft apart from what I have seen listed so far will actually turn up/ appear at Leuchars the one thing I do severely/ sincerely hope is that we have another Leuchars blessed with really great Weather. Lets hope and pray, keep our fingers crossed...................

Nae worries..(ye'll be wanting a copy then ££££££££££££££££)
2008 is the worst weather i have ever seen at Leuchars,2009 or 2006 is the best.
A nice day not too bright with high cloud would be spot on.

Hmmmmmm:

Mind you, the forecast was for it to be chucking it down where I am all day today and it's bone dry so far. Not sure if that's good or bad...

BBC saying drizzle, weather.com says fog in the morning and sunny in the afternoon...

At least it's improving with every update... :)

Met check/BBC and The Met Office reports this morning all look rosier - excellent visibility, sunshine and 17-18deg!! Very promising.

Dont know guys...I'm a tad concerned....Friday Arrivals looks like a 'duck' day...probably go anyway (cos I like ducks)...and the main event on Sat is somewhat 'up in the air' weather-wise (every pun intended)...one thing I do know is that Leuchars weather can change in a jiffy....I remember being there with my late father in '69 to see the former 'carrier-borne' F-4's arriving....one minute soaked to the skin...the next it's Cote De Leuchars.....s'pose thats why it was selected as an airfield.......bring a brolly just in case!
