I shall be making my pilgrimage from deepest darkest Lincolnshire

Let's hope the weather doesn't spoil a great day out!

My moan wouldn't be about not wanting to travel up there...my moan would be how the heck to get up there. !!!
I live in Central Scotland, and Leuchars is a drrive to my local train station for the first train of the day that passes through it, into Edinburgh. 3 minutes to get from one haymarket platform to another and onto the dundee train. All that to get me in the Leuchars gate at 9am.
Lossie would have to be an overnighter, and that's just not practical.
Have you tried getting to Waddo or RIAT? Leuchars for me is well over 3 hours by car so I go down the day before and stay for a few nights after to catch departures. Many folks come from south of the border and do the same. You have two options - first if there is an airshow at Lossie and you want to see it the railway company will put on a special train (they do so from up here for Leuchars). If there isn't an airshow at Lossie you're going to have to make your own travel arrangements to go south if you want to catch an airshow. I know which option I will choose if there's no longer an airshow in Scotland.

Which means I can get up nice and early to catch arrivals! But as Graham put it,,planning is the key!

I was in no way doubting the the possibilities of attending a show at Lossie for many. Indeed ways to make a weekend of it. Nor of attending airshows elsewhere.
My comment was very much from my own personal perspective as to what is practical for me.
Just await the tickets for the show and on base parking and it's all I need!portagee01 wrote:
