2012 Display Trophies

2012 Display Trophies

Postby SilentFlight on Mon 02 Jul 2012, 9:16 am

The 2012 Display trophies went to those below:

The Boeing Tophy for the Most Accurate and Polished Flying Display
1- ROKAF Black Eagles
2- Swiss Air Force F18 Hornet
3- Royal Air Force Chinook Display Team

The Boeing Trophy for the Best Presented Static Display:
1- The Huey Team ( Huey & Loach)
2- Grob Tutor (7AEF & EMUAS)
3- Hunter T7 (Hunter Flight Academy)

It was a really difficult decision this year with such good quality exhibitions both in the air and on the ground.

My first ever time at Waddo, went there as part of the crew on the Hunter....
We didn't know what to expect, so just polished the aircraft as much as we could over the weekend. Couldn't quite believe it when we were told we had got 3rd out of so many other participants.
An amazing show, brilliant behind-the-scenes organisation, and feel extremely chuffed to have been part of it...

A round of applause to all participants, but I think those selected were all very worthy winners

There were 3 of armed with sponge and polish but I'm the one with no hair.....lol Seem to have cropped up in a few photos  Worth the effort though as the Hunter hadn't had a proper clean in 2 years so we had our work cut-out on the Friday while Neil went off to fetch his JP.

Back in Korea the Black Eagles were pretty proud of their award at Waddington, here is a great piece from the T50 website with some superb shots, Ciaran
