2012's Show???

Would like to see a few more Fast Jets on Static especially if possible the 2 RAF Special Coloured Aircraft (3 Sqn Typhoon and 2 Sqn Tornado GR.4).

Got to see the new Shiny Two yesterday (tooled up with a Paveway IV and a RAPTOR pod ) at the II (AC) Sqn centenary event. It's a lot nicer in the flesh, photo's doesn't do it justice IMHO

Would be good to have the all the specials II(AC), 3(F), XV(R) 41(R) and the 1,000,000 hours tornado at Waddington Or any show for that matter

Normaly lucky to get one Herc , this year is one to remember

It sure is one hell of a line up this year, but I'd rather have a bit more variation on the statics. They're exactly small planes which don't take up much room

Think there is very good varity this year even more so considering theres far less varity than there used to be personaly im looking forward to seeing the rare hercs that are attending an theres plenty of space at waddo!

The Black Eagles will make their UK debut at Waddington!
17th May 2012

For the first time ever the Republic of Korea Air Force will be seen in the skies above the RAF Waddington International Air Show this summer, with their Black Eagles Display Team, in what will be the team’s very first UK air show appearance. The team, who reformed in 2009 to fly the indigenous T-50 Golden Eagle training aircraft, will arrive in the UK in mid-June and then display at RAF Waddington before moving onto RIAT and Farnborough. The T-50 is an advanced jet trainer first flew in 2002 and is capable of Supersonic speeds.

Wow I cannot wait for the Black Eagles! It's fantastic to see so many international and RAF displays at waddington year, I was wondering if there is any room left on the flying programme for anything else to be added? It's looking pretty full up! The static line up is taking shape too, is there anymore news on what else the French will be sending to waddington and on the RNZAF 757? Ben

They've said the Flying Display is full. And the New Zealand 757 is very unlikely this July.

RNZAF 757 this year ! Waddington just keeps better and better. Nice to see some more RAF assets added to the static line up too. I wonder what else is going to be added to the line up....i can only hope for a Croatian Mig21 or An-32

The 757 display is by far the best display I have ever seen the way its thrown around the sky is fantastic. The sea king demo will be interesting as well. Looks like this will be the best airshow I have attended yet, lets hope the weather plays ball.

I saw a sea king demo in Whitby a couple of years back over the harbour and it was really impressive, i know waddington lacks an expanse of water but I think the sea king will be a great sight! I was wondering if waddingtons phantom and lightening are accessible or at least photographable? I went to last years show but never saw them and would love the chance to photograph them while I'm at the show this year? Ben

Does anyone know anything at all about the Display routine by the Korean Black Eagles? Also is the Saudi Hawks Display anything similar to the Red Arrows or are the only similarities the Hawks albeit that one Team flies Red and the other one Green?

The Saudi Hawks are very similar to the Arrows. They were trained by ex-Reds personnel so much of their routine has been taken from previous Reds displays.

Will any reference be made to the fact that the saturday is also armed forces day? Would have been nice to get some a flypast with aircraft from all our various forces together at the same time. Cant wait for this years show nevertheless!
