To avoid any continuing uncertainty and to clarify our current position, Michael Trotter, our Business Development Director yesterday contacted all of the display organisers booked up to and including RAF Waddington, to advise them that XH558 would not be able to attend. Therefore, our target for the first public display of 2012 will be at RAF Fairford, for the Royal International Air Tattoo.
We are obviously sorry for anyone expecting to see the aircraft at events in June, but in light of circumstances, we felt it best to make an early call on the likely availability and timescale to a return to flight, considering new engines will have to be air-tested before we can consider undertaking a public display.
