Because it would be an absolute farce if they didn't. Is there any reason why they shouldn't? and do you know if they had even been 'paid' for their appearance yet?

As with all business, airshows are just the same. We dont pay for services unless we recieve it.

I thought the Meteor T7 display at the Duxford Jubilee Show was outstanding - low, fast and exciting - not bad for the UK's oldest flying jet. I think this would be more than a suitable replacement for the Vulcan if it can be switched from static to flying - especially since it's another classic British jet. Very much looking forward to the show this year (as always) - hoping the weather improves by then though!

Its a real shame about the Vulcan but I'm sure whatever Silentflight and the organisers line up to replace it will be a welcome addition to an already excellent display! Hopefully there will be an up date to the static line up and the vulcans replacement imminently. I've noticed that at Yeovilton a Royal Canadian airforce challenger has been added to the line, hopefully Waddington will follow suite and confirm Canadian participation too!

So with just 3 weeks to go what announcements might be made, a few more RAF on static, United States participation, few more juicy items possibly and what will replace the Vulcan ?

No, indeed - any forecast over a week cannot be relied on. A good guide to general trends is the pressure forecasts but they, too, can change over days let alone weeks.

As Cosford have got a VC10 flypast booked would Waddo be able to have one, I understand of course that iit might not be able to happen but a VC10 flypast at full power would be a good "sub" for the Vulcan.

Nothing for me beats a Vulcan on take off but a VC10 making noise comes bloody close.

You wont like the look at the forecast now Craig .... BBC have said there are signs of settled weather towards the end of the month and a website i use shows high pressure building for the Wednesday before the show, but take it as a pinch of salt.

Dear BossMann,

Please quit with the persistent, annoying questions. I imagine the team are much too busy for your tedium.
