Hi everyone

As promised here is the log for today. It has been a much busier day today and the weather was an improvement on yesterday, apart from the strong winds. It was a bit dissapointing that the KDC-10 didnt show up on time. I dont know if it showed after i left at 1800. Really hope so. The highlight of the day has to be the afterburning passes that the Phantom did before landing. Except for Mondays departures, we probably will not see one like that again. Not in the UK anyway.

Hi.

The arrivals day on Friday sounds better than the show itself!
Particularly the Phantom arriving! Why do they never seem to put on a display in the show?
Get's a bit boring just seeing all the display teams year in year out.

For next years show I like the sound of coming down on the Friday to bag all the "statics"
that come in land so I just wondered if you are allowed on the base on the Friday (and is there a charge) or do you view from the road end of the Runway?

There is a park and view enclosure on the base at the end of the runway on the Thurs and Fri before and the mon after the show. £5 to get in. Gates open 08:00-17:30. Has a food van and toilets. Cant complain really. Good day out and extends the airshow weekend
