Meant respectfully, but they're banging these lists out in good time, aren't they! And why not: some good line-ups emerging thus far!

Never seen the Lancaster at OW, worth the entrance fee alone I would imagine!

It was before. (think that was the Navy show, with the Corsair/Wildcat/Sea Hurricane/Skyraider/Seafire formation, along with the Lancaster and Teichman's P-40 completing the compliment of visiting warbirds. Quality stuff).

Well i think this confirms that this is one day of my study leave that will involve no studying  Cracking line-up, I presume that is will be a display by the Lancaster rather than a flyby? If so then :heyhey:

The BBMF website lists it as a flypast only (by the Lanc and 2 Spitfires) - one of half a dozen they're doing that day.

I'd speculate that they're most probably Maurice Hammond's pair, along with his Auster 5.

Indeed. A £5 flightline tour may be in order...

Hangar 11 Spifire replaced by the P40.
I would guess the P51 from Hardwick would be Janie.

Anyone know if the Mustangs will be landing on the day before the display starts?

Thanks

Interesting that the line-up now is talking about a pair of Mustangs, and a Mustang;

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - Avro Lancaster & Supermarine Spitfire
Supermarine Seafire
North American P51D Mustang Pair - formation and solo displays
Douglas C47 N147DC Dakota
Hawker Sea Hurricane 1B
Gloster Gladiator
North American P51D Mustang

Is this three Mustangs?

Hope so!

I think the clue is in the formation and solo displays part. So I would say just two im afraid.

Hmmm...not convinced, can't see the logic of adding the reference to another Mustang  I can always hope!

Well I heard somewhere that the two 'Stangs were going to be Ferocious Frankie and Janie, but as I understand it Frankie still has her panels off at Duxford, further confusing things. I have to say it's a bit odd that they've added another entry.

The plan is that the Dakota will land at Old Warden and be on the flightline prior to the show so this is a great opportunity to catch a large aeroplane operating from a great location.
