Shame about the Lanc, but otherwise looks pretty good to me.

Have to agree. Worth going just for the P40 and Spitfire.

You guys seriously think that's a good line up  maybe having gone to the Military Pageants all through the 90's I've been spoiled then, if this was the line up then i wouldn't of got out of bed  even in comparison with recent years it's thin on visitors.

Speaking for myself, yes I do. What would what you consider to be a good line up?

As a fairly regular paying visitor to the Shuttleworth displays I feel it is getting to be rather formulaic; the same old (no pun intended) aircraft and the same pageant of vehicles regardless of the billing of the show.

Was the Military Pageant any real difference to the others? OK we did have the Lanc and two Hurricanes (one more than usual) and the F86, but was it any real difference to the usual display content we get several times a year?

I'm fully aware that costs are rising all the time but £30 I feel is excessive, even £25 with no concessions is expensive for those of limited income. Shoreham for comparison is £20 or £16 in advance. Nuff said.

Possibly to a 'fairly regular paying visitor' that may be said to be so, but I'm anything but a regular, I live too far away to be that. I'm planning to go to the August Military Pageant, and it will be my first visit to Old Warden since 1998, which is why that list looks good to me!

What about the Army Air Corps Historical Flight - they would fit in the "bill" for Old Warden & a little bit different too ? As they are privately funded, I am sure they would welcome an invitation from SVAS to display

Would be ace if the OFMC fly as a duo. Really looks impressive at the smaller venues, far superior to the Horsemen.

Couldn't say when exactly. 2004 or before at a guess, as it was before I went digital. Charlie Brown was flying it, when it was still being operated by HAC, before they traded it to TFC.

Edited to add that a quick Google suggests it was at the July 2002 show.

This looks a good line up to me too. I am hoping weather be kind as this be only my second visit to Old warden. The first being last years Autumn show where the wind prevented mosts displays taking part.

Just a few questions
What sort of crowd numbers normally attend this event? does the crowd line get very busy?
Is there going to be chance for static shots?

I guess it depends on the weather... but to be honest its busy but never feels like it is, none of your mad rush to get to the flightline (i.e Duxford). Most people tend to spread out and cover the ground between the flightline and 1st row of cars, static shots are not a problem but you could go on the flightline tours and get a bit closer.
